Un-questionably one of the finest singers in the country is Katie Noonan. After the platinum success of her debut album 'Skin' and her recent Aria nomination for "Best Adult Contemporary Album" Katie returns with her new album 'Blackbird'. Recorded in New York in August this year 'Blackbird' is a collection of classic Lennon and McCartney penned love songs that Katie and her all-star Jazz quintet - Joe Lovano (saxophones), John Scofield (guitar), Lewis Nash (drums) and Ron Carter (double bass), Sam Keevers (piano) - have magnificently re-interpreted.

Incredible songs such as 'Here, There and Everywhere', 'Across the Universe', 'Eleanor Rigby' and 'Michelle' are brought to life through Katie's enchanting voice and musicianship. To support the album's release Katie and her quintet will be performing some special shows across the country in December.

These shows are not to be missed as not only are the songs amazing but it is un-likely to be seen again as after Christmas Katie will be away working on her 2nd solo album.
